My name is Laura Fernsten.
I was in my Health 332 class trying to think of a topic to write on, and had a bunch of ideas but nothing really stuck out to me. I had random tidbits of ideas, but nothing solid. Then it hit me. Why don’t I write a blog about what I think needs improving in Utah? I was born and raised in California, but I have been in Utah for a couple of years for school, and just noticed the extreme difference between the two states (not to mention the climate). With the recent strict texting law in Utah being passed, my interest in the laws in this state compared to other states, or just the differences between them had started.
I am currently a super-senior at Brigham Young University and finally decided on a major that I have a passion for – Public Health Promotion.
If you need to contact me, my email address is Laura.Fernsten@hotmail.com
I like your other blog better.

Hello Laura. First of all, I want to say GREAT WORK on this site.
I was hoping you would allow me the copy rights to use the cartoon image of “texting while driving” ” a closer look at Utah” in one of our online trainings. You can see what we do at the link: http://www.lni.wa.gov/Safety/TrainTools/Videos/default.asp
I believe it adds a strong message to our training. Thank you for the consideration. I hope to hear back from you. Susan, Training specialist for State of WA
