Since I am not doing a ‘typical’ blog for my class on one subject, but on various ones, whenever I make posts I will post a link to a website of an organization or event that that days blog relates to. You will be able to volunteer, get involved in your community, and help raise awareness and money for different events.
Pancreatic Cancer Action Network
Help join the fight and advocate for more money to do more research in Pancreatic Cancer. Currently there is not even a Utah chapter for Pancreatic Cancer – we can change this ! You can also volunteer for opportunities and events.
Utah County Health Department
The Utah Country Health Department has lots of great volunteer opportunities right in your neighborhood! Help volunteer for such organizations as the Foster Grandparent Organization, The 4-H Program, Utah County Sheriff Search & Rescue team, and much, much more!
BYU Public Health Association- BPHA
Help out with campaigns and awareness or health issues right in your own backyard.
Utah Clean Energy
Help join the fight of making our energy more clean, thereby reducing the amount of pollution and making air quality better in this state.
Utah PTA
Help join this organizations efforts to keep kids, and youth safe, as well as informing parents and grandparents on issues such as bike and helmet safety to seat belts.
